About the Artwork
Back Home Again is a colorful collage created by artist Cindra Conison. This piece served as a transition from her sculptural work to smaller wall reliefs. She notes, "I concerned myself with pattern play and surface. Color has always been an essential part of my work and life. It seems to come without any conscious effort whereas surface must be worked at. The title Back Home Again reflects a two-week trip I made to Ohio. I constructed the piece before the trip and painted it on my return."
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with South Kitsap School District.
