About the Artwork
Artist Ann Gardner creates artworks in print and glass to explore the patterns found in everyday objects common to our daily lives. Red Dots is part of a group of collages using printed shapes created from stencils. She notes, "I cut them up and 'quilt' them back together, honoring both the patterning and quilting found in ours and many other cultures."
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Enumclaw School District.
About the Artist
Seattle-based artist Ann Gardner creates sculptures using glass and mosaic materials. Her works explore pattern and rhythm in organic forms. She studied ceramics and fine art at the University of Oregon and Portland State University.
