Cornucopia, 2001

George Radebaugh
American (born 1950)

Location: Artz-Fox Elementary School, Mabton

About the Artwork

Artist George Radebaugh created the sculpture Cornucopia out of used Compact Discs. It is part of a series of musical instrument forms. He notes, "I try to use all scrap materials when available. The overlapping technique that I have often employed in my work lately suggests fish scales. As the viewer moves the light and color reflected by the piece changes greatly implying a motion in the otherwise still work."

This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Mabton School District.

About the Artist
