Textile artist Sally Sellers constructed the joyful and whimsical quilt Birthday House using a random applique technique combined with contrasting thread and multi-colored buttons to highlight the elements of texture and hue. The cake imagery was created by layering thick strokes of acrylic paint.

This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Naches Valley School District.
