A Five Part Artwork: Over Arching Glass Curtain Wall, 1998
Karen Guzak
American (born 1939)
Location: South Seattle College, Seattle
About the Artwork
Part two of artist Karen Guzak's five-part installation at South Seattle College is 'Overarching Glass Curtain Wall'. The large etched glass windows above the college's entry doors emphasize the scale of the architecture. Guzak's five-part installation celebrates technology and the value of work. It is interactive in nature as students will walk through and around the artwork parts, and it is unified by the motif of circles and arcs in the artwork as well as in the students' paths around it.
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with South Seattle College.
