Washington State Artists

Over 65% of the State Art Collection is by artists who have a strong connection to Washington State. These artists either grew up here or are currently living and working in the state. Many of these artists are or have been teachers at Washington's colleges and universities, and many are connected to Pilchuck Glass School and the studio glass world of the Pacific Northwest. Over half of Washington's counties and more than fifteen of Washington's tribes are also represented by this group of artworks.

As a collection, these artworks by Washington artists remind us of our shared heritage and community connections, representing who we are. They also represent Washington State as a place of rich, creative expression.
