Governor Jay Inslee Extends Term for Washington State Poet Laureate
The term of Claudia Castro Luna, the 2018-2020 Washington State Poet Laureate, has been extended to January of 2021. The extension was announced by Humanities Washington and ArtsWA on December 4, 2019.

ArtsWA certifies two new Creative Districts – Chewelah and Olympia
Both communities spent the better part of a year on community planning efforts to prepare for their application. Creative Districts program manager Annette Roth said she’s pleased to see both cities receive certification.
