ABOUT THE ARTWORK

After a 3,000 mile excursion over a two-and-half year period, artist Nance Bracken created this artwork as part of an eight-piece set, featuring the eight regions of Washington State. Each artwork of a region includes an etched and hand-painted map of the area, which is surrounded by images of its key features as interpreted by the artist. This one is for South Central Washington State and features the landscapes of the Columbia River, among other things.

This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Snohomish School District.
