ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Artist team Suzanne Hellmuth and Jock Reynolds created the multi-element artwork Untitled (Medicinal Herb Garden Bus Stop) for the University of Washington. It centers around the artists’ designs for two wooden bus shelters located between the Medicinal Herb Garden and Anderson Hall on Stevens Way. They designed the structures to suggest greenhouses, and to integrate into the surrounding gardens and landscape.

As part of their project, the artists created the "C. Frank Brockman Memorial Campus Tree Tour" pamphlet. It provides information about 80 different historic trees on the University of Washington campus. A PDF version of this tree tour is linked below under "Lesson Plans and Documents".

This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with University of Washington.
