ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Lakefront Property is a painting by artist Michael Dal Cerro. It is part of a body of work created while the artist lived in the Pacific Northwest. The imagery reflects the artist’s interest in waterfront scenes and the mixture of architectural structures like bridges, docks, and boat landings. The artist notes that when he is painting buildings, ships, and other objects, “I think about how natural forces like rain, time, decay or even gravity might affect the structures I am painting.”

This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Peninsula School District.
