Class of '91 #2 is a colorful paper construction by artist Peggy Conklin. She hand-cast paper pulp dyed with acrylic paints. She then sewed beads onto the composition.
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Mercer Island School District.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Colorado-based paper and textile artist Peggy Conklin Cloy creates sculptural constructions that explore form, material, and color. She received Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees in Painting and Art History from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. She has served as an artist-in-residence for Seattle Public Schools, and taught at the University of Washington Experimental College, among other institutions.
