ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Artist Robert Rigg created this whimsical ceramic castle for Riverside Elementary School. He built the castle using slabs of stoneware clay. He fired the castle in a kiln, leaving a natural clay finish. Installed in the entrance hallway, it encourages imaginative play by Riverside students.
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Riverside School District.
