ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Artist Jackie Ferrara Meeting Place installation for the Washington State Convention Center in Seattle is one of her earliest artworks that is integrated into the building's architecture. It uses slate tiles and artist-designed benches and tables to define a Meeting Place in the middle of convention activities. The artwork is made of the tile floor, nine benches, and two end tables.
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Washington State Convention and Trade Center.

Jackie Ferrara is an American sculptor and draughtswoman. She creates sculptures and furniture characterized by their stacked pyramid structure. She studied at Michigan State University in East Lansing.
