It's Her Journey is a vibrantly colorful painting by artist Joe Max Emminger that depicts a stylized female figure holding a bouquet of flowers. The artist notes that his subject "carries the flowers for protection and as a sign of goodwill."
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with The Evergreen State College.

Seattle-based artist Joe Max Emminger is a self-taught painter who creates bold and colorful narrative compositions populated with stylized human and animal figures. In 2019, the Bainbridge Island Museum of Art presented the solo exhibition "Joe Max Emminger: The Long Way Home".
