Water, Light, and Shade, 1977
Drex Adkison
(American)
Location: Shoreline Community College, Shoreline
ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Northwest sculptor Drex Adkison created 'Water, Light and Shade' to articulate the interaction of elemental forms. The abstract structure changes dynamically at different parts of the day and the flow of water varies depending on climate conditions. The action of flowing water over several decades has developed a luminous green patina on the sculpture's bronze surfaces.
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Shoreline Community College.
