ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Dash Point is a realistic painting created by artist Donald Barrie. The composition captures the rich colors and textures you can find on Puget Sound beaches. He based the imagery for this painting on the shoreline at Dash Point State Park, a 400-acre park between Seattle and Tacoma in the city of Federal Way. This painting was created for Decatur High School in Federal Way.
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Federal Way School District.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Realist painter and muralist Donald Barrie captures the subtle details and formal relationships found in city scenes and sweeping landscapes. A faculty member at Seattle Central College, and founder of the Pelican Bay Artists' Cooperative. Barrie lives and works in Seattle, Washington.
