ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Artist Katherine Holzknecht’s wall sculpture Onset is comprised of found mixed media objects. The form and composition is inspired by the cloudscapes and changing seasons in late summer in the Pacific Northwest. She notes, “Those cloudy days in the Northwest can be very exciting visually. There seems to be an endless variation of shares and intensities of gray.”
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Seattle Community Colleges.
