(American, born 1950)

Location: Airway Heights Correctional Center, Airway Heights

ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Artist Garth Edwards created these playful cutouts and benches for the visitor's area at Airway Heights Correctional Center. While visiting the facility during planning, Edwards noticed "a certain anxiety during the check-in process." His whimsical images of plants and animals create a welcoming environment for all visitors.

This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Department of Corrections.
