ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Time and Place is an outdoor sculptural installation by artist Linda Beaumont. Four sets of stairs join from different angles in a spiral to form the composition. She patterned the steps with mosaic tiles. The tiles feature images, diagrams, and text about mathematical and scientific concepts.

This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Adna School District.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Seattle-based artist Linda Beaumont creates paintings, sculptures, and large-scale installations for public spaces. She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in painting and ceramics from the University of Washington in Seattle.
