ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Vista is a colorful abstract landscape created by artist Ed Kamuda. His home in La Conner, Northwestern Washington inspired this image. He notes, "I am surrounded by mountains and light, subjects for a lifetime."
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Lake Chelan School District.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Ed Kamuda (1943-2020) created abstract paintings inspired by the landscape of the Skagit Valley and the Pacific Northwest. Born in New York City, he spent four years in the U.S. Navy. He moved to Seattle in 1967, where he lived for ten years. He settled in La Conner, Northwestern Washington, where he lived and worked for over forty years.
