Location: Cottonwood Elementary, Yakima
ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The Codependent and the Deep Blue Sea is a constructed collage by artist Phil Brazeau comprised of shaped paper, clippings from foreign language dictionaries, and found items. The artist intended that these many elements function "like chameleons drifting in among the images on the two dimensional space, trying to match up with their backgrounds."
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with West Valley School District.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
