ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Artist Kathleen Caprario drew inspiration for the panoramic canyons and plateaus in Looking Toward the Light from the landscape of the American Southwest. This piece is part of a body of work called "Illuminations", characterized by large metallic-leafed frames, acting as "windows that open onto a familiar, yet different view of reality and evoke a dream-like journey of the imagination."
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Kent School District.
