Location: Maplewood Heights Elementary, Renton
ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Photographer David Grant Best describes photography as "an experiential starting point" and a process of making choices that awaken our imaginations. Rising River Fog & North Cascade Peaks captures luminous first light on an early winter morning. Taken along the Skagit River, the composition highlights three aspects of water that characterize winter in the Northwest landscape: fog, snow, and a flowing river.
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Renton School District.
