ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Morten Andersen’s Interlinked Lacks mixes styles and colors to create a “mystic energy.” The strong lines, colors, and shapes in this print create a sense of chaos and harmony. The jagged stripes of color shades also create the impression of movement.
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with University of Washington.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Morten Andersen is fascinated with colors, forms, and shapes, and their influence on human feelings.
Andersen was grew up in Denmark and lives in Berlin, Germany. He was a graffiti artist in the 1990s and now uses spray paint, markers, and acrylic paint on canvases.
