(American, born 1946, died 2021)

Location: Washington State Arts Commission, Olympia

ABOUT THE ARTWORK

After a 3,000-mile excursion over a two-and-half year period, artist Nance Bracken created this artwork as part of an eight-piece series. The prints features the eight regions of Washington State. Each artwork includes an etched and hand-painted map of one region. She then surrounded the map with images of the region's key features, as interpreted by the artist. This print features images of the Palouse Wheat Fields, Devils Canyon, Monumental Dam, Palouse Falls, and Snake River View.

This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Snohomish School District.
