Clover Creek: A Bug's Eye View, 2015
Jean Bradbury
(Canadian, born 1963)
Location: Clover Creek Elementary School, Tacoma
ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Artist Jean Bradbury asks you to imagine that you are smaller than a snail when viewing Clover Creek: A Bug's Eye View . All of the plants and animals in the painting are native to the Clover Creek area of Tacoma since over 500 years ago. The artwork is installed high on a wall in Clover Creek Elementary School, encouraging a "bug's-eye perspective" that the artist notes can "carry the viewer into the world of wonder and imagination that nature inspires."
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Bethel School District.
