ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Sheila Wyne's "Phi - Eye of the Beholder" is based on the golden ratio – expressed by the Greek letter "Phi" – which produces compositions of harmonious proportions.
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Sumner School District.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Sheila Wyne is an Anchorage, Alaska-based sculptor. She creates constructions and artworks that reflect the objects, stories, and collective experiences of living among Northern communities, and within a global environment. She is part of an Anchorage collective of artists called "The Light Brigade" that create site-specific artworks and interventions. In 2009, she was honored with the Alaskan Governor's Award for Individual Artist.
