ABOUT THE ARTWORK

This artwork is part of artist Michael Stone's series of fifteen photographs created for Grandview High School in south central Washington. These striking images capture the play of light and shadow among Northwest landscapes and agricultural areas. He printed the images at his Central Washington studio in Cle Elum.

This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Grandview School District.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Artist Michael Stone combines photographic images with sculptural, painted, digital, and non-traditional elements and media. He is based in Roslyn, Washington.
Stone received Bachelor of Arts, Master of Arts, and Master of Fine Arts degrees from the University of California, Los Angeles. He taught photography at Central Washington State College (now Central Washington University) in Ellensburg.
