ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Morgan Brig's copper and glass-enamel sculpture A Heightened Sense of Possibility expresses the feeling of human potentiality through a combination of symbols. The flying blue figures represent differing ideas waiting to be realized, while the branches at either side represent rational and untethered thought.
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Seattle School District.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Northwest artist Morgan Brig creates sculptures using glass, metal, ceramics, found objects and other materials. Interested in capturing the complexity of emotion, her works investigate form and symbol. She lives and works on Vashon Island in South Puget Sound, Western Washington.
