ABOUT THE ARTWORK

City Suite is a series of lithographs created by artist Jimmy Jet and printed at Coburn Press, located in Seattle. The artist received an award through the Seattle Arts Commission to create the prints. The imagery explores urban culture in Seattle. The compositions feature landscape, architecture, and figurative elements. Contemplating the interaction between man and his environment, the artist asks "are we conscious of the impact of our actions?"

This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Pierce College.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Seattle-based artist Jimmy Jet creates drawings, paintings, and prints. His artworks explore personal narratives and landscape imagery. He studied at Everett Community College before receiving his Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees from Central Washington University in Ellensburg. He received a Master of Fine Arts degree in Painting from University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, in 1980.
