ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Artist Susan Seniuk's painting Housewarming features a house-shaped composition. The images feature detailed flower motifs and contour line drawings. The overall theme comments on patterns and rhythms of growth and change in the natural world. The imagery includes atomic elements, geometric cells, a topographical map of Washington, and diagrams of plant grafting.
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Kelso School District.

Seattle-based artist Susan Seniuk creates conceptual paintings characterized by imagery that she derives from newspapers and magazines. She received her Master of Fine Arts in painting from the University of Washington in Seattle.
