Late artist James Sahlstrand captured the majestic form, color and atmosphere of sunny winter day in this 1979 mountainscape.
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Department of Natural Resources.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Artist James Sahlstrand (1936-2009) was a nationally recognized photographer. Based in Ellensburg, Central Washington, he taught at Central Washington University for more than 30 years. He received Bachelor of Arts and Master of Fine Arts degrees from the University of Minnesota.
