ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Artist David Wilson's photograph Electric Oak captures the intense colors and shadows of dusk. The composition highlights the chaotic branches of a leafless oak tree, set against the background of a glowing hillside, lit by the setting sun. Of his work, Wilson notes, "I am drawn to compositions in which the natural beauty also incorporates some element of ambiguity, mystery or even confusion."

This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Sequim School District.
