Location: Northwood Middle School, Renton
ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Dana Boussard's Her Secret Stories celebrates a spiritual connection with our sense of place. Exploring the relationship between human development and the natural environment, Boussard imagines the bird figure as "whispering a gentle call for us all to be aware of our surroundings and be good stewards of the land." It is made of cut and painted fabrics, stretched over a wooden frame.
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Kent School District.
