ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Artist Connie Lloveras created Sky Through My Moons by painting, carving, manipulating, and assembling fired clay tiles. This piece is composed of symbolic and abstract imagery which the artists notes represent themes of longing, the passage of time, and human beliefs in immortality and the hereafter.
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Lake Stevens School District.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Florida-based artist Connie Lloveras creates mixed media paintings and ceramic sculptures. Born in Havana, Cuba, She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Florida International University in 1981.
