ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Artist Carolyn D. Hoffman captures the moody atmosphere of the Nisqually Delta in her photograph Ghost Trees . This image was processed to increase the detail of shadowed areas. This technique highlights the subtle textures of the natural landscape. Hoffman notes: "my photographs are quiet and contemplative. They are full of details that draw the viewer into the frame and keep them there."
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Vancouver School District.
