ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Dreams is a mixed-media painting by artist Linda Kraus-Perez. It is part of her body of richly detailed abstract paintings. This piece is filled with colorful forms, energetic marks, and textural surfaces. She notes, "Process is an integral part of my work, with each mark determining the placement of each consecutive mark. This process is repetitive, ritualistic and feels very close to an enactment of a feminine activity. For example, embroidery; stitching in marks of color that have come together to create an image."

This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Bremerton School District.
