ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Artist Dane Youngren's hand-built ceramic sculptures acquire their dark patina as the result of ash from the wood burning firing process. The coloration and form of Mine Shaft #10 evoke fragility and abandonment.
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Peninsula College.
