Louise Kodis' art is made up of colorful, translucent fabrics. Her work is inspired by the flight of birds and insects, leaves, cloud patterned skies, and maps.
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Tacoma School District.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Spokane, Eastern Washington-based artist Louise Kodis creates wall hangings and installations made from colorful textiles.
Kodis studied at the San Francisco Art Institute in California. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Washington State University in Pullman, Eastern Washington, in 1964.
