ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Friend's Pathway is an intricately detailed linoleum print by artist Anne Byerrum. This piece is part of her series "New Paths," created after the artist recovered from cancer. In this series trees and the changing of the seasons symbolize the new paths she would take in her life. She noted that her works capture "the feeling, sensation, and vibrations of the moment. I try to capture one moment in time between cause and effect."
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Tacoma School District.
