Larry Dean Pentz

(American, born 1950)

Larry Dean Pentz is a Northwest artist who creates cast metal sculptures. He operates an Aluminum foundry, Pentz Cast Solutions. He began the foundry in 1972, moving to Seattle in 1979 and to San Juan Island in Puget Sound, Western Washington, in 1997. He notes, "I have always been intrigued by the metamorphosis of the earth's surface as it is continuously changing with time, wind, abrasion, erosion, sun, water, temperature, gravity along with animal and human activities."

Pentz studied at the Cleveland Institute of Art in Ohio. He pursued a Master's degree at Kent State University in Ohio.
