New York City-based artist Francisco Alvarado-Juarez creates artworks in a variety of media, including painting, photography, video art, and mixed media installations. Born in Honduras, he moved to New York City in his teens. He received a Bachelor of Arts from the Stony Brook University on Long Island, New York, studied photography at the International Center for Photography in New York City, and received a Master of Fine Arts from the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore. He is the recipient of National Endowment for the Arts and Fulbright research fellowships.
