Perri Howard's work examines the relationship between human perception and sense of place. Questions about navigation, intuition, and physical proximity are important factors in these investigations. Howard's public artworks draw attention to where land meets sky, sea meets shore, and where one’s inner landscape converges with the outside world. Her work includes painting, drawing, sculpture, and sound installations. She is based in Twisp, north central Washington.
Howard received her Bachelor of Arts from The Evergreen State College in Olympia, Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Washington in Seattle, and Master of Fine Arts from Cranbrook Academy of Art in Michigan in 2001.
