Come celebrate our 2015 honorees
The public is invited to a very special evening at Teatro ZinZanni on November 9th to recognize the recipients of the 2015 Governor's Arts & Heritage Awards. The honorees this year are:
- Northwest Heritage Resource Center, Lake Forest Park (Heritage Organization Award)
Northwest Sinfonietta, a professional chamber orchestra based in Tacoma, Seattle, Puyallup
(Arts Organization Award)
- Linda Hartzell, Seattle (Individual Artist Award)
- Jamie Valadez, Port Angeles (Individual Heritage Award)
- Heidi Arbogast, Spokane (Arts Education Award)
- Ben Hunter, Columbia City (Young Arts Leader Award)
The evening will begin with a special appearance by First Lady Trudi Inslee, who will present the Young Arts Leader Award.
Entertainment will feature segments from Teatro ZinZanni's current show, Hollywood Nights, to be presented throughout the three-course dinner.
Special guest entertainerts will include a piano piece by Matt Potts, a recent graduate of Washington School of the Blind; young breakdancers from Extraordinary Futures; and a quartet of musicians from Northwest Sinfonietta playing Brahms: Piano Quartet No.1 Op.25-4.
Doors open at 6 p.m. for cocktail hour
Preassigned seating begins at 6:30 p.m.
Awards dinner and program begins at 7:00 p.m.

About the awards
The Awards were established in 1966 to recognize individuals and artists for their significant contributions to the creative vitality of Washington State. Since inception of the program, 150 individuals and organizations have received Arts Awards, and 51 individuals and organizations have been honored with a Heritage Award.
