Billy Frank Jr. Statue Project: February 2026 Project Update

Foundry Work Begins on Billy Frank Jr. Statues

Work is now underway at Classic Foundry to cast the two bronze statues of Billy Frank Jr. from the completed clay model created by artist Haiying Wu. Wu and the foundry team are ensuring the molds meet high quality standards and will test patina finishes as the pieces are cast. The statues are on track to be completed by May and move closer to installation in Washington, D.C., and at the Washington State Capitol. The project continues to progress as planned, bringing this historic tribute to life.
