Call for Artists: Commission for Neah Bay School

ArtsWA, the Cape Flattery School District, and the Makah Indian Tribe are seeking a Washington-based artist or team for a permanent installation at the new Neah Bay K–12 School. The $91,000 project requires carving interior cedar house posts that reflect traditional Makah culture and values. These figures will flank a ceremonial dance area within the school’s multipurpose space.

Artists with artistic or historic connections to the Makah Tribe are strongly encouraged to apply. Submissions, including a statement of interest and portfolio images, are due April 6 by 4:00 p.m. PST.
