New Art Acquisitions to the State Art Collection: July 2017 to June 2018

ArtsWA’s Art in Public Places program manages the State Art Collection, taking care of existing artworks and acquiring new ones at K-12 public schools, colleges, universities, and state agencies throughout Washington. Public art projects are funded through a formula of one-half of one percent of the cost of new, state-funded building construction.

New art acquisitions completed over the past fiscal year (July 2017 to June 2018), are located across Washington state from Spokane to Sedro-Woolley, to Pasco and White Pass, and are now online. Over three-quarters of the 4,600 artworks of the State Art Collection, including all artwork acquired since 2005, can also be easily explored at My Public Art Portal.
