4Culture works in King County to advance the community through arts, heritage, preservation, and public art.

 

Access Washington provides access to state government information and services available on the web.

 

Americans for the Arts has many services for both members and non-members. Their publications are especially useful.

 

Artist Trust supports the works of individual generative artists through grants and other resources.

 

Arts Northwest provides the three-state region (Idaho, Oregon and Washington) with a block-booking conference for the performing arts and performing artists.

 

Building for the Arts is a program of the Department of Commerce. The program was created by the Legislature in 1991 and has since provided nearly $46 million for 133 arts-related projects throughout the state.

 

Centrum, located at Fort Worden State Park in Port Townsend, provides artists, students and arts participants a diverse array of cultural enrichment opportunities.

 

Shunpike is a non-profit organization that provides services and support to artists and arts organizations, including grants and fiscal sponsorship (fiscal agent).

 

Seattle Mayor's Office of Arts and Cultural Affairs promotes the value of arts and culture in and of communities throughout Seattle.

 

Another national source of information, articles and publications is the National Assembly of State Arts Agencies (NASAA).

Access Washington has a section on Doing Business in Washington that provides information on business registration, taxes, licences, and much more.

 

The King County Bar Association offers, How to Form a Nonprofit Organization in Washington State, a booklet which includes sample forms, by-laws, and articles of incorporation.

 

Arts Marketing provides an online database.

 

Washington Lawyers for the Arts - is a nonprofit service organization dedicated to supporting the arts in Washington state by creating alliances and making legal resources accessible to artists and arts organizations of all disciplines.
