Walla Walla Bound - Buster Simpson

In 2005, Buster Simpson was selected to create an artwork for Washington’s State Art Collection. The artwork selection committee, comprised of seven artists and citizens from Walla Walla plus two peers from the field of public art, asked Simpson to spend time in the community, provide artwork that would engage the community through interaction, and place the artwork throughout the community.

Simpson responded with two works of art, Instrument Implement and Poetic License, sited on the campus of Walla Walla Community College and this film, Walla Walla Bound. The artworks were installed in 2008 and the film was completed in 2009.
