Art in Public Places - Public Artist Roster

The Public Artist Roster is a pre-qualified roster of professional visual artists eligible for 1/2 of 1% for art projects through the Washington State Arts Commission’s Art in Public Places program.

Every three years the Art in Public Places program holds a regional open competition to select artists for inclusion on the Public Artist Roster.

A panel reviews and recommends artists based on a number of factors including an artist’s experience and technical abilities. The panel includes artists and arts professionals, and changes each time a competition is held.
